Stubby Steel appears on select stage shows and dances as an extra attraction, when it is requested
by the venues who book the Western Justice Stage Show and Dance Band. Stubby from Mineola, Texas.

He is only 4 feet tall but he can play a mean  lap steel guitar. Any time he can sneak on stage he likes to
play a "little Music and tell a few "short Stories". If you like a fun stage show with lots of little humor and
great music watch for Stubby Steel.

Those of you that remember famed musician entertainer and song writer Smokey Smith are invited to share your thoughts and memories of Smokey from his playing days. Anyone who hired him, played for him or were just good friends can share their stories for a book that is being written. Smokey is alive and well and they are trying to get this done. You can access the information through the Country Music Showcase International website at: www.cmshowcase.org and look for the link to Smokey Smith. Or you can email Mr Harold Luick at CMSI at haroldl@cmshowcase.org and share your stories. While you are there take a look at the virtual museum that this great organization is maintaining. Lots of great memories and stories in there that are being kept alive through the museum. They run primarily on donations as it is a NPO. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks

Excerpt from the CMSI website.

REMEMBER THE OLD KRNT THEATER?

Are you one of the many fans who regularly attended the popular Grand Ole Opry Shows promoted throughout the Midwest by Smokey Smith? Did you happen to attend the Bill Anderson Show at the KRNT Theater in Des Moines, Iowa, on September 15, 1968? Smokey is documenting his life story for a book, so if you have a special story, regardless of where you attended one of those legendary shows, or perhaps if you saw one of his personal appearances throughout the many venues in the Midwest, please consider sharing it.
